When you take an adventure tour with the folks at Stormy Port Lodge, you can look forward to the trip of a lifetime. You’ll see breathtaking scenery including towering waterfalls, massive glaciers and abundant wildlife. Eagles soar overhead all summer long. Harbor eals, otters and sea birds are also plentiful. There are bird rookeries where thousands of seabirds nest and hatch their young; and, a variety of dolphins, porpoise, seals and otters most of the year. Photo opportunities abound in and around the Sound.
Most of the land adjacent to Prince William Sound is part of the Chugach National Forest. Once here, you will find much of the coastline to be steep, rugged and remote. Similar in nature to the coastline of Norway with lots of islands and fjords, many of which contain tidewater glaciers.
